Information on repair and maintenance of Volkswagen Vento cars electronically

Volkswagen Vento is one of the sedans produced by the famous Volkswagen concern. Production falls on the period from 1992 to 1998, and the model itself replaced the previously created Volkswagen Jetta II.

The presentation of the Volkswagen Vento took place in 1992, and the name itself, if translated from Italian, means “wind”. A year later, sales of this car started, but it was known under the name Volkswagen Jetta III.

The Volkswagen Vento is based on the Golf III. And if we talk about technical characteristics, then these vehicles were not much different. As for the exterior, the distinctive features of the Volkswagen Vento are original lighting equipment, new radiator grilles, bumpers, and the most important difference is the body shape. The Volkswagen Vento, due to the separate trunk, was large in size, and its volume, provided the seats were not folded, was 550 liters.

In 1995, the model was restyled, within which the manufacturer further changed the lighting and appearance.

Volkswagen Vento is a fairly large car in its class, as its length is 4380 mm, width - 1695 mm, and height - 1425 mm.

Among the most popular versions of the car are the GTI and VR6. The differences in them lie in the interior design, and most importantly, in the engine power. So, in the period until 1993, a 2.0-liter engine with a capacity of 115 horsepower was installed on the GTI version, and after 1993 it was replaced by a sixteen-valve engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower.

If we talk about the VR6 version, then the cars were produced in two types: front-wheel drive with a 2.8-liter engine and all-wheel drive with a 2.9 liter engine.

Diesel versions are also available.

Production of the Volkswagen Vento continued until the introduction of the new Bora in 1998.

However, in 2011, the presentation of the new Vento model took place in India. The car has received a completely new exterior, interior, engine options and a new gearbox.

As for car maintenance, this issue will be relevant as long as these models will drive on the roads. And it depends only on the owner whether he will constantly visit the service station or will do all the manipulations on his own. In the latter case, you simply cannot do without minimal knowledge and suitable information. But as far as information is concerned, it is easy to find it in the dedicated repair and maintenance manual.

The manual contains answers to the following questions:

  • how to operate a car in winter;
  • how to perform maintenance yourself and what basic tools are needed for this;
  • how to find the problem yourself and fix it;
  • how to change oils, filters, brake pads, etc.

The information in the manual is very understandable, although it is based on many years of professional experience. Moreover, it is all accompanied by illustrations with detailed descriptions.

The book on the repair and operation of the Volkswagen Vento car in PDF format will become a faithful friend and assistant for every car owner and at the same time will not take up much space on a smartphone or tablet.
