Information on repair and maintenance of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport cars electronically
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, a Japanese mid-size SUV, was introduced in 1996. The car was based on the base of the L200 pickup truck. The first generation went on sale in 1997, and in many countries the model was called differently: Pajero Sport was established in Europe, Montero and Nativa in America, Shogun in Great Britain, G-Wagon in Thailand, Challenger in Japan. The platform is borrowed from the Mitsubishi Pajero II.
In 2000, the first restyling was carried out, during which a gasoline V6 with a volume of 3.0 liters and a power of 170 hp appeared in the engine lineup, the spring rear suspension was replaced. No less popular were V6 engines with a volume of 3.5 liters and a 2.8 liter turbodiesel. Basically, all variants were equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission, as well as a part-time transfer case. The cars were rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
The second generation was introduced in 2008, which had significantly fewer trim options. The line of engines was represented only by gasoline 3.0 liters and diesel 2.5 liters, which were paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. As for the configuration of the car, its body and interior, there were 3 options available:
- minimal, which included standard handles, manual control, no control buttons, controls, no heated mirrors and seats, fabric upholstery, simple acoustics halogen headlights.
- medium, allowed for climate control, chrome knobs, and partial control using buttons.
- the maximum option provided leather seats, climate control, heating, blind spot cameras, parking sensors, navigation, xenon headlights, audio amplifiers.
The third generation debuted in 2015, with the option to be equipped with 5 or 7 seats. The car is equipped with a 2.4 liter diesel engine with a work force of 181 hp, which is paired with a 5- and 6-speed manual, or an automatic transmission. Among the new options, it became possible to choose the conditions of the trip: mud, snow, sand and stones.
The frame has become stiffer and the suspensions have been redesigned to be steerable and stable without changing the layout. In addition to the basic equipment, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is equipped with: automated wipers, headlights with twilight sensors, climate control system, DVD screen for passengers, heated leather seats, parking sensors. There are also 7 airbags, cameras and an electronic stabilization system. The automatic braking system, maneuverability and control of "blind spots" are the main advantages of this model.
