Information on repair and maintenance of Mercedes-Benz LK klass cars electronically

Germany has always been famous for its cars. Their auto industry was of high quality and durability. One of the leading companies in this area is Mercedes-Benz. In its arsenal there are both executive class cars and large-sized cars. One of the brightest representatives of trucks from this company is the Mercedes-Benz LN / LK. The first generation of the Mercedes-Benz LN / LK family was introduced in 1964. The model was called the LP 911 and featured a small cockpit and a flat front panel. Features were the 80 horsepower 5-speed gearbox. The next model was presented 2 years later and it was called LP 808. In this car, the engine was diesel, with a capacity of 130 horsepower. The gearbox has not changed. Compared to the previous model, this one had an increased carrying capacity up to 7.5 tons. After 10 years, the models were modernized. The design of the new machines was corrected, the carrying capacity was increased by 2.5 tons.

In 1984, the world saw the LK family of vehicles, which had a payload from 6.5 to 11 tons. In addition, the cars had naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines, the power of which was up to 201 horsepower.

A year later, the all-wheel drive version appeared, and a year later the model range was replenished with the LK 1517 and LK 1520 models. The engines in them were with a capacity of 170 and 201 horsepower, respectively. In 1991, the most powerful engine with 240 horsepower was presented.

The same period saw the start of the production of cars with engines of the ecological class Euro-1. And two years later, there were changes in appearance. The cab is now gray instead of brown.

The modernization of the LK series took place in 1996. As part of the restyling, the appearance of the cars was changed and new engines appeared. The engines were supplemented by the four-cylinder engines of the “900” series.

In 1998, the Mercedes-Benz LK model was replaced by the Atego model.
