After modernization and restyling, the updated crossover debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. It happened in 2013. As part of the restyling, changes took place in the design of the front optics, the salon was equipped with a graphic instrument panel. There have been improvements in engine fuel performance.
In 2016, it became known and the development of a second generation car. The new Volvo XC60 was presented to the world at the same Geneva Motor Show, but already in 2017. The updated model was created on the new SPA platform, which in turn was developed by the Chinese car manufacturer Geely.
The Volvo XC60 won the Big SUV Safety Performance Award and won the World Car of the Year 2018 award.
