The Czech automaker Skoda Auto in 2016 began producing the mid-size crossover Skoda Kodiaq, which is considered the largest crossover among the Skoda lineup. Available in 5 and 7-seat configurations.

The Kodiaq was the first Skoda model to feature an adaptive DCC chassis with controlled shock absorbers. From the configuration options and the sales market of the model, the cars were equipped with various basic options as well as luxury features with "simple ingenious solutions". Skoda trim levels were presented: Basic Active, Medium Ambition, and Maximum Style.
Already a couple of months later, in Geneva, two new versions of the Kodiaq performance were presented. The Scout was intended as an off-road vehicle for long-distance travel, while the Sportline was more sporty.
But the most powerful and fastest version was the Kodiaq RS, which was presented in 2018 in Paris. 2.0 liter turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 240 horsepower, 2 turbochargers were located under the hood of the car. The maximum speed was up to 220 km / h. In 2019, the lineup was purchased for the British police.
Chinese cars are clearly different from European models. Diesel engines are not offered at all, and less powerful ones are available from gasoline ones. Basically, the engines of the models are equipped with a volume of 1.8l and 2.0l, with a capacity of 180 to 229 horsepower. All Chinese models are equipped with robotic gearboxes only.
