Information on repair and maintenance of Renault Kangoo cars electronically

The Renault Kangoo is a compact van from the manufacturer Renault that was launched on the market in October 1997 as a successor to the Renault Rapid and is produced in Maubier, in northern France, near the Belgian border, at the Maubiege plant. Depending on the equipment version, the Renault Kangoo is suitable as a station wagon, a small van, a large taxi, a minibus or a wheelchair taxi.

The Renault Kangoo family of small cargo-passenger and cargo vans was first introduced to the public in 1997, and mass production of this model started in 1998. Renault developers took the creation of the Kangoo seriously, striving to make this car one of the leaders in its class.

This approach brought success to the French company: by the beginning of 2002, Renault Kangoo sales exceeded a million units.

In the fall of 2001, Renault introduced an all-wheel drive version of the Kangoo, called the Renault Kangoo 4x4. In addition to all-wheel drive, this modification received increased ground clearance to 200 mm.

In 2002, a new 1.9 dCi turbodiesel engine with direct injection and 80 hp power appeared in the Renault Kangoo model range.

In 2003, the entire Renault Kangoo family was modernized. The main changes were the new design of the front of the car, including new shapes of the headlights and radiator grille, consistent with the corporate style of Renault.

In 2005, the model underwent another modernization, and in 2007, a new generation of Renault Kangoo was introduced. Despite this, the original Kangoo continues to be produced and is popular due to its affordable price.

The Renault Kangoo body is made of durable metal with a reinforced frame. Its total weight varies depending on the specific modification, starting from 1.6 tons and reaching 1.82 tons, and the load capacity varies from 625 to 800 kilograms. Specifically designed for commercial use, this vehicle offers more cargo space than conventional passenger cars.

The second row of seats in many Kangoo versions can be folded or stowed away, creating a flat cargo area with a low loading height.

The driver's seat is quite comfortable and spacious, with plenty of headroom. Standard seat adjustments allow you to customize the seat to suit the needs of even the tallest drivers. The high seat and large side mirrors provide excellent visibility, making even long trips behind the wheel comfortable.

Renault Kangoo is equipped with a variety of engine options, including both petrol and diesel. These motors are in many ways similar to those used in passenger cars such as the Renault Clio and Symbol. At the start of production, a 1.2-liter petrol engine with 59 horsepower was available, but its power was insufficient and its production was discontinued. But the 1.4-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 75 horsepower has become very popular and is in demand.

The all-wheel drive version of the Renault Kangoo 4WD has a 16-valve 1.6-liter engine that develops 95 horsepower, but this model can be found relatively rarely.

As for diesel engines, initially the main one was a naturally aspirated engine with a volume of 1.9 liters and a power of 55 horsepower. Since 2002, the main engine has become a new 1.9 dCi turbodiesel with direct fuel injection and a power of 80 horsepower, meeting Euro 3 standards.

The second generation Renault Kangoo was first presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 and entered the market in 2008. The cargo version of this model is called Renault Kangoo Rapid or Renault Kangoo Express, depending on the region.
