Repair and service Range Rover cars in the eBook
The Range Rover SUV, which was produced by the British company Land Rover, is a luxury full-size four-wheel drive vehicle. The flagship model has been produced since the early 70s, and today it has been released in 4 generations. The Range Rover model series consists of three variants: Evoque, Sport and Velar. Owned by Tata Motors since 2008.
The first generation Classic was produced until 1996. Initially, the cars were available in a 3-door body, and after the first ten years, a 5-door model appeared. The cabin used neither wood nor leather, vinyl seats and rubber flooring. The car could be purchased with gasoline engines, the volume of which varied from 3.5 liters to 4.2 liters, with a capacity of 130-200 hp, and diesel engines, with a volume of 2.5 liters and 112 hp.
The next generation was more luxurious and advanced. The second generation model P38A was produced during 1994-2002. The car immediately received an updated version of the Rover V8 engine, 4.0 liters and 4.6 liters, and the ability to install a 6-cylinder M51 2.5-liter turbocharged engine, which was produced by BMW. The 4.6L engine allowed a top speed of 200 km / h, which was one of the fastest results for a production Range Rover at the time. In this model, wood and leather elements were widely used in the interior, which emphasized the car's belonging to the premium class. The suspension adjustments have contributed to improved driver comfort and SUV versatility.
The third generation Range Rover, L322, appeared in the early 2000s and took a huge step in its perfection. New features were noted in the rigidity of the frameless body and the fully independent suspension with air springs. The interior is admittedly the most sophisticated of any car showroom. For the first five years, the third generation models were equipped with BMW engines, where the engine displacement was 4.4 liters (gasoline) and 3.0 liters (diesel). For the second five years, they installed engines from Jaguar, where the diesel was increased in volume to 3.6 liters, and the gasoline remained the same.
Since the beginning of 2010, the range of engines has been significantly updated. The diesel engine was replaced with a 4.4 L twin-turbocharged engine, and the petrol engine was changed to a 5.0 L, 375 horsepower (if atmospheric) and 510 horsepower (if compressor). Cars also began to be equipped with an automatic eight-speed transmission.
At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the fourth generation of the Range Rover L405 was presented. The machines of this series are equipped with V6 and V8 diesel engines (3.0 and 4.4 liters, respectively) and V6 and V8 gasoline units (3.0 and 5.0 liters). The latest car in the lineup is equipped with electronic assistants and security systems.
In modern times, more and more often, car owners themselves are engaged in car maintenance. Replacing any part will require knowledge:
- how the car works;
- how to find the problem yourself and fix it;
- how to change oil.
The Range Rover repair book in PDF format will be practical even for the most experienced repairman. The manual contains all information about the car, the main characteristics and illustrations with detailed descriptions. You can download the book to your smartphone and always have it at hand.
