Information on repair and maintenance of Nissan Murano cars electronically

The Nissan Murano is an E-class SUV produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Nissan since December 2002. It was launched in Europe in the spring of 2005. It is a five-door, five-seat, transverse front-engined car, available with front- or all-wheel drive. It uses the Nissan Altima and Nissan Maxima passenger car platform.

The model is produced with a 3.5-liter V4Y V6 gasoline engine with four valves per cylinder, indirect injection and a maximum power of 245 hp. It is also used in Nissan Altima, Nissan Maxima. Available with a six-speed manual transmission and a continuously variable transmission.

Nissan gave its most luxurious SUV a major facelift in 2008. The second generation of the Japanese car is equipped with a single engine, a 3.5-liter V6 with 265 hp, which was already installed on the previous version, but revised and corrected in many details and is available in Acenta and Tekna trim levels.

The new Nissan Murano has a line that follows that of the first generation, with some styling changes front and rear, but the interior has been completely redesigned. The center console features a large navigation and entertainment screen. The instrument panel, on the other hand, emphasizes the sporty nature of the Nissan Murano with attractive and aggressive dial designs.

In terms of performance, the Nissan Murano has remained true to itself: superb on-board comfort, true sporting performance and maximum silence.

It is equipped with a hydraulic dual-circuit braking system with brake booster, ABS, BAS, EBD. All-Mode 4x4-i automatic insertion all-wheel drive with magnetic locking center differential and electronic torque, traction and stability control.

Designed primarily for the US market in terms of size, aggressive and imposing styling, performance and consumption, it was not very successful in Europe. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, since 2010 the company has introduced a diesel version to the market, which in Europe completely replaced the previous gasoline engine.

The new engine is a 190 hp 2.5 dci, suitable for tonnage (the car of this second series is 486 cm long, 189 cm wide, 172 cm high, with a gross weight of 1895 kg), with its 140 kW and 450 Nm of torque, it accelerates the Nissan Murano up to a top speed of 196 km/h with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and an average mileage of 12.5 km/l.

The diesel version also differs aesthetically from the petrol model, for this the front end has been modified with the addition of a large front air intake to aid cooling.

In 2010, the CrossCabriolet convertible version was introduced. This model was equipped with a 3.5 V6 engine with 265 hp. with 335 Nm of torque in combination with Xtronic CVT transmission with adaptive shift control.

And already in April 2014, Nissan introduced the third generation Nissan Murano (design code Z52) at the New York Auto Show, which was equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine belonging to the Nissan VQ family with a CVT Xtronic automatic transmission and front or full drive. The base platform is the same as the Nissan Altima.

The third generation Nissan Murano was not sold in Japan due to anti-pollution regulations that do not recommend large vehicles with large displacement engines.
