The second generation of the car was presented in Paris in 2004, being a crossover. The model was radically different from its predecessor. Updates touched both externally and inside the car: new bumpers, wheels, headlights, lights, lowered seats. At the heart of the car was an all-wheel drive platform with a torque on demand system. The range of engines that was available for the complete set was represented by: gasoline 2.0 liters, 142 horsepower, and V6, 2.7 liters and 175 horsepower. The diesel option was available as a 2.0 L, 112 horsepower. Any engine was equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, and the V6 provided for the possible installation of a four-speed automatic transmission, H-matic. The next restyling of the 2nd generation was in 2013, and this model is still being produced in China. At that time, the bumper was updated, designer optics were made, and the turn repeaters were transferred to the mirrors.
In 2010, the third generation of the model is presented in Geneva. The front part of the car, LED headlights, and a new interior are being improved. The buyer has a choice of 3 different configurations of the model:
- S is equipped with a 2.0 liter petrol engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower;
- SE additionally includes bluetooth, display, navigator, petrol / diesel engine.
- SX is equipped with two additional engines 2.0, diesel and gasoline, 17 'wheels and a start / stop system.
The new fourth generation was presented in Frankfurt in 2015. Variants of 3 petrol and 3 diesel engines were available for sale. By 2020, the company has developed a more budget-friendly Sportage model with a turbocharged engine. The fifth generation is just preparing to enter the car market in the fall of 2021, but the model will definitely be improved and equipped as much as possible.
