The Isuzu Elf is a 3.5 ton GVW medium truck model manufactured by Isuzu since 1959. It is known as the N series outside of Japan. Initially, this range was available mainly in Japan and other Asian countries.

This series is mainly marketed in Japan, Hong Kong and some other Asian countries, and is also offered as the Mazda Titan. Since the early 1980s, it has also been available under the Chevrolet W Series and GMC W Series names in the United States, Chile, Peru and other countries in the Americas. In Egypt, it is called the Chevrolet N series.

The 3.5-ton truck is equipped with a 3-liter common rail diesel engine with 110 kW and 375 Nm of torque. The 9-ton NPR 275 is powered by a 5.2L four-cylinder, 16-valve engine with 114kW and 419Nm of torque (SiTec Series II 4HK1-TCN). Most models of these trucks can be distinguished by the front lettering "Elf" or "NHR", "NKR", "NPR", "NQR", "NRR", usually only the ISUZU lettering is applied to the back.

The first generation of this car was officially introduced on August 27, 1959 as the ELF TL221. This car was offered in presentations with a load capacity of 2 tons and was equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 60 hp (44 kW). It was a very revolutionary truck for the time, both due to the shape of its cab and its capacity, as it allowed more cargo to be carried, especially in a small truck, than other competing vehicles.

August 1967 saw the debut of the Isuzu Light Elf, the entry-level model of the new Elf range, which had a payload capacity of 1.25 tons. It had single round headlights and was powered by the same 1471 cc G150 engine. See that of the Isuzu Bellett, rated at 68 hp. (50 kW). It was the first Elf of the second generation to be introduced to the market. April 1968 saw the introduction of the second generation of the Elf TL21 and TLD21 series with 2 and 2.5 ton payloads in numerous body styles, including the all-new Elf Hi-Roof with a raised roof.

The third generation Isuzu Elf arrived in June 1975. The initial lineup consisted of the Isuzu Elf 150 and Isuzu Elf 250. In January 1977, the low-floor 250 Low-Flat model was added, followed by a facelift in 1978 that debuted a modified front grille.

The fourth generation Isuzu Elf appeared in July 1984 and began as a global project that was exported around the world and produced in several countries, including the United States.

The fifth generation Isuzu Elf was introduced in July 1993 and introduced a completely new design with more sculpted headlights and a larger grille. The 2.8 4JB1 and 4JB1T engines are standard on both the Isuzu Elf 150 and Isuzu Elf 250, as well as the 3.6 4BE1.

The sixth generation Isuzu Elf was introduced in December 2006. It retains the same chassis as the previous generation, but features a new large and spacious cabin, improved soundproofing and onboard comfort. The new high-strength steel construction is 200 kg lighter than the previous one.
