Information on repair and maintenance of Hyundai Matrix cars electronically

The Hyundai Matrix or Lavita, internally FC, is a C-segment minivan produced by the South Korean automobile manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company from 2000 to 2010. Its design is based on the Hyundai FC concept car - for "Family Car" - developed in Europe, and presented at the Leipzig Motor Show in 2000. In most markets, it was replaced by the Hyundai ix20, Kia Venga, Kia Soul.

It is a five-seater, transverse front-engine, front-wheel drive car based on the platform launched with the third-generation Hyundai Elantra and also used by the first-generation Kia Cerato, both from the C segment, although its dimensions allowed it to also compete in the B segment. With the Hyundai Elantra, it shares a wheelbase - a result of using the same chassis - as well as engines and minor elements such as door handles, switches and controls. In some markets, the Hyundai Matrix was sold as the Hyundai Elantra LaVita to avoid conflict with the Toyota Matrix of the same name.

Hyundai Matrix Specifications

The interior, designed for five people, has a separate folding and sliding rear bench seat with adjustable backrest angle. The exceptionally affordable GLS version of the equipment has four airbags as standard, ABS with electronic brake force distribution, seat belt pretensioners and force limiters, and three height-adjustable rear head restraints. However, there are no side airbags or ESP traction control.

In 2003, a special model called the 1.6 GLS Edition+ was released, which, among other things, included air conditioning, an on-board computer, central locking with remote radio control, 15-inch alloy wheels and metallic paintwork as standard.

In 2009, Hyundai presented an updated version of the Matrix at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008. The front panel has undergone major changes, similar in style to the Hyundai i30. New wheels are also part of the many changes. The bend in the rear window has been eliminated. Minor changes have also affected the interior.

The choice of engines is between petrol power plants 1.6 103 hp, 1.8 123 hp and a diesel unit 1.5 CRDi 110 hp. All three engines are available with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, both petrol engines can be paired with an optional 4-speed automatic transmission.

The fuel consumption of the Hyundai Matrix 2008 1.6 in combined mode (a combination of city and highway driving) is 8 liters per 100 km (12.5 km / l), fuel consumption in the city is 11.4 l / 100 km, fuel consumption on the highway is 7.3 l / 100 km. The fuel tank capacity is 55 liters, which means that you can travel up to 680 kilometers in the city cycle and even up to 740 kilometers on the highway without refueling.

Despite the fact that the production of Hyundai Matrix has already ceased, this does not mean that today you will not find Hyundai Matrix cars on sale and on the roads, which require technical maintenance and repair, like other cars.
