The exterior of the DAF XF95 is based largely on the well-received DAF 95 XF, but a more modern front end has been adopted and a lot has changed internally. The changes were necessary in order to compete with the MAN TGA and Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks.
The DAF 95XF was available with four engine options:
- 380 h.p .;
- 430 h.p .;
- 480 h.p .;
- 530 hp
The latter powertrain was not developed by DAF itself, but was purchased from Cummins.
All variants are in-line six-cylinder engines.
