Information on repair and maintenance of Combine DON combine harvester electronically
The combine is a widely used technique in agriculture. And one of the combines that was produced by the Rostselmash plant is the RSM-10B Don-1500B combine
Production has been carried out since 1986 and in fact this is the third generation of combine harvesters. At the same time, “1500” in the name is the width of the threshing drum.
The combine has been put into mass production since the beginning of 1986, and over time it has become one of the most popular combines throughout the CIS.
The main competitor can be considered the SK-5 Niva model. But unlike it, the Combine RSM-10B "Don-1500B" had an increased throughput and productivity, as well as improved characteristics.
Initially, all harvesters were equipped with SMD-31A six-cylinder in-line engines. Over time, they were changed to D-260 and YaMZ-238AK diesel engines. Even later, budget versions received YaMZ-6263.10 and YaMZ-6562.10 engines, which met Euro-3 requirements.
A distinctive feature of the Don-1500 was an unusual gearbox. A box of speed ranges was installed on the harvesters, which had three driving modes:
- mode for working on fields with a slope of 4° to 8°;
- for working on fields with a slope up to 4°;
- mode for driving with an empty bunker.
In 2005, the RSM-10B "Don-1500B" combine won a gold medal at the exhibition in UzAgroExpo, Tashkent.
In 2006, the RSM-10B Don-1500B combine was replaced with more modern Acros 530 and Vector 410 models, but Don-1500B continued to be produced in small batches.
If we talk about the engines that were installed on the combine, then there were several options:
- YaMZ-238AK with a capacity of 235 horsepower;
- YaMZ-6563.10 with a capacity of 230 horsepower;
- YaMZ-6562.10 - with a capacity of 250 horsepower.
The maximum speed of the harvester was about 20 km/h, while the operating speed did not exceed 10 km/h.
Other modifications were also produced: DON-1500, DON-1500A, DON-1500N (intended for non-chernozem work) and DON-1500R (used for harvesting rice).
