The Citroen C3 model is represented by a compact universal car, which has been produced by the French company Citroen since 2002. The lineup contains many modifications and a convertible version.
In Paris, in 1998, the concept of the C3 Lumiere was demonstrated, which combined design, compactness and functionality. The car was developed by the designers who had previously designed the Renault Twingo. The model has become popular and successful. C3 was produced with gasoline engines with a volume of 1.1 liters, 1.4 liters and 1.6 liters; and diesel 1.4l and 1.6l, with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The first generation Citroen was equipped with various options, only the complete set of engines was represented by 8 models.
- Premiere was called the standard (basic) equipment level. They were equipped with engines with a volume of 1.1 liters and a power of 61 hp. on gasoline, and a volume of 1.4 liters and 70 hp. on diesel.
- Ambiance is the next level of the C3 line, which, in addition to the basic configuration, had additional options: cruise control, air conditioning, panoramic roof and more. Available were gasoline engines ranging from 1.1L to 1.4L with a capacity of 61-75 hp, and diesel, 1.4L and 70 hp. respectively.
- Clim was the third level of the C3 modification. The car was completed in addition with fog lights and a city package.
- Exclusive was the top trim level. To all of the above parameters, the functionality was supplemented: automatic headlights, rain sensor, parking assistant, heated rear-view mirrors, rear space organizer.
In 2005, the car received an external upgrade and became more powerful. Under the hood, the motors were supplemented with a new engine, 1.6 l 110 hp. Citroen C3 was such a demanded and high-quality car that there were a huge number of model modifications: VTR, X-Treeme, So Chic, limited edition Dolce & amp; Gabbana and Pinko Gold.
In 2009 Citroen demonstrates the second generation, which, like the first, has several equipment levels and is equipped with 8 different engine models: Attraction, Tendance, Exclusive. The third generation was officially introduced in 2016 and is being produced in factories today.
No less popular is the Mini MPV version C3, which was introduced in 2008 and officially named the C3 Picasso. This is a subcompact van based on the Citroen C3. In motion, Picasso is driven by gasoline engines with a volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters and a capacity of 95 and 115 hp, which was jointly developed by BMW and Peugeot-Citroen. It is mainly equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, but there are models with a six-speed "robot".
