The petrol modification xDrive28i with a three-liter six-cylinder engine provides power of 258 hp. Both types of engines are equipped with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The line of power units is expected to be updated in the future.
The BMW X1 demonstrates significant innovation potential in terms of its advanced suspension systems. Key elements include a double-joint push-arm front suspension or an aluminum double-joint front suspension with traction arms. In addition, the car is equipped with a five-link alloy rear suspension, precision steering, powerful braking system, Dynamic Stability Control with traction control and optional Performance Control, which acts on the brakes for a more dynamic driving style.
The body of the modern BMW X1 is made from innovative new generation steel, designed to effectively absorb impact energy in controlled deformation zones, providing a high level of protection for occupants. The car's standard equipment includes three-point inertial seat belts on all seats, front and side airbags, and head protection systems. Adaptive brake lights and daytime running lights are also included as standard. In addition, xenon headlights, adaptive headlights and high beam control are available as options.
The 2013 version of the BMW X1 crossover, presented at the New York Auto Show, received an updated design, featuring a new front bumper with silver accents, enlarged grille nostrils, updated side skirts and a modified rear bumper. These changes give the car a modern and stylish appearance.
