The Audi Allroad Quattro (sometimes referred to as the Audi A6 Allroad, Audi A6 Allroad Quattro or simply Audi Allroad) is an SUV produced in four generations by the German car manufacturer Audi since 2000.
The first generation car, which appeared in 2000, was called the Audi Allroad - without the A6 or Quattro prefixes, it is an elevated Audi A6 Avant (station wagon) equipped with the Quattro system as standard, air suspension, as well as specific bumpers and sills that allow the car to be used outside expensive.
It was a wagon with a length of 4810 mm, a width of 1852 and a height of 1526 mm. Wheelbase - 2752 mm. By default, the car was equipped with air suspension, which could change the ground clearance from 142 to 208 mm, and permanent all-wheel drive with a Torsen center differential.
Standard electronically controlled adaptive air suspension further enhances the chassis. The control panel adjusts the precise characteristics of the adaptive dampers according to road conditions and speed. Thanks to the air suspension, the chassis can be lowered or raised depending on whether the car is moving on the road or off-road. This is done either automatically or by pressing the appropriate button.
It was a cross-country model, although not at the level of a real SUV. This first generation did not bear the A6 initials, despite being closely related to it on a technical level, so Audi never included it in the Audi A6 range, but treated it as a separate model, always officially on the Audi list anyway.< /p>
Gearboxes are a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic. The first generation Audi Allroad was discontinued in 2005.
Competitors in the Audi Allroad market are the Volvo XC70 (an off-road version of the Volvo V70) and the Subaru Outback (a derivative of the Subaru Legacy), the Peugeot 508 RXH.
The front end of the first generation Audi Allroad follows the styling lines of the brand at the time. With a grille contained in its dimensions, but very attractive, and honeycomb grilles in the lower sector, in which the fog lights, standard on all versions, are integrated.
