The two-door version was no longer produced, only a two-door sedan and a five-door station wagon remained. Since 85, the body has become galvanized. In total, more than a million units were produced.
In 1990, the new Audi C4 was introduced. Changes did not affect the bodies, as in the last generation there were a four-door sedan and a five-door station wagon. All of these models were equipped with four-wheel drive. The Audi C4 is the last car of the Audi 100 family, after 1994 there was an evolution in the Audi A6.
Initially, cars were produced exclusively in Germany, but in the 90s, production was also in China for several years. Most of the models produced were intended for government use. All Audi 100s produced in China were front-wheel-drive sedans.
