Repair and service Sitrak cars in the eBook
The Sitrak brand (also known as Sitruck) is a premium brand from the Chinese manufacturer Sinotruk, created through a collaboration with the German group MAN.
The joint project was launched in 2009, when the German side granted the Chinese partner a license to produce modern heavy trucks based on the proven European MAN TGA platform. The name Sitrak comes from a combination of "Sinotruk" and "Truck", emphasizing the international nature of the brand.
History of the Sitrak Brand
From the very beginning, Sitrak was positioned as a next-generation truck: it features enhanced reliability, comfort, and high efficiency. It's not just another Chinese truck but the result of adapting German technologies to Asian production capacities.
The first model, Sitrak C7H, was introduced in 2013 and quickly gained popularity not only in China but also in the CIS countries, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Later, the lineup was expanded with the Sitrak G7 and Sitrak T7H models designed for various operating conditions.
Sitrak Technical Specifications
Sitrak trucks are built on the MAN TGA platform, with a reinforced frame, high-quality cab, and reliable transmission. Many components are of German origin, including engines, gearboxes, and axles. The focus is on long-haul tractors and construction dump trucks.
These trucks are equipped with inline diesel engines MC11 or MC13, developed under license from MAN D20/D26, with displacements ranging from 10.5 to 13 liters. Power output varies from 350 to 540 horsepower. Fuel system — Common Rail Bosch, turbocharging with intercooler, compliant with Euro-4 and above standards.
The gearbox is a 12-speed manual ZF, with automated transmissions used less frequently. The cab can be high or standard, two-seater or with a single sleeper. Air conditioning, autonomous heater, air suspension seat, and multimedia system are available even in base configurations.
The front suspension is either leaf or air, while the rear is leaf with reinforced axles. Load capacity depends on the configuration (4×2, 6×4, 8×4) and ranges from 25 to 50 tons. Special attention is given to fuel efficiency: the Sitrak C7H tractor consumes about 30–34 L/100 km under full load, which is considered good for the heavy truck segment.
The electronics are also sourced from MAN: this includes the engine management system, ABS unit, CAN-bus, and the dashboard display. This makes Sitrak feel more "European" in driving experience compared to a typical Chinese truck.
PDF Repair Manual
Detailed repair manuals in PDF format are available for all Sitrak truck models, including the C7H, T7H, and G7. These technical manuals are based on original German MAN documentation and adapted for Chinese versions. The guides are intended for both professional mechanics and drivers performing field maintenance.
The PDF manuals cover in detail:
- the structure of MC11/MC13 engines, including the injection and turbocharging systems;
- ZF transmission diagrams with step-by-step diagnostics;
- valve and injection timing adjustment procedures;
- assembly/disassembly of suspension, brake, and steering components;
- diagnostics and decoding of electronic error codes;
- scheduled maintenance charts and consumables replacement intervals;
- common malfunctions and actuator diagnostics.
The Sitrak Repair Manual enables resolving most common issues without costly service visits. This is especially important for owners in CIS countries, where original spare parts may take weeks to arrive.
Here are examples of issues that can be resolved with the PDF manual:
- ECU errors — identifying causes, checking pressure, temperature, and RPM sensors, CAN-bus connectors.
- MC11 engine overheating — diagnosing the cooling system, thermostat, radiator, and temperature sensor.
- ZF gearbox failure — checking the shifting mechanism, air lines, oil filter, and locking system.
- Pneumatic system faults — fixing air leaks, restoring valves, replacing air tanks.
- Brake system malfunctions — adjusting brake pads, replacing brake chambers, checking ABS valves.
Thus, Sitrak trucks, developed in cooperation with MAN, combine power, reliability, and technology. And the availability of comprehensive PDF documentation ensures long and trouble-free operation with minimal costs.
