Information on repair and maintenance of Peugeot 307 cars electronically

Peugeot 307 is a car produced by the French automobile manufacturer Peugeot. A car belonging to the compact class appeared on the market in October 2001.

The new product was received with a bang and immediately gained many fans. This model replaced the Peugeot 306 family. The fact that the Peugeot 307 won Car of the Year 2002 is testament to its popularity and success. It belongs to the European class C, usually called Golf class. Available in two versions: three- and five-door hatchback. The dimensions of the three- and five-door hatchback are absolutely the same, only the door openings differ.

The model range opens with the basic XR version, equipped with air conditioning, power accessories, six airbags, central locking with remote control, etc. Next comes the XS version, additionally equipped with climate control, a computer, a rain sensor, an audio system with a CD changer and 15-inch wheels.

The series is completed by the most expensive version of the XSi, which is also equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, a five-CD changer and other equipment. In its class, the Peugeot 307 was unrivaled in terms of interior volume, trunk space, space in the rear of the car, and the number of different tanks in the cabin.

The Peugeot 307 is aimed at the midsize (compact) car market, where it competes with the Renault Mégane II, Volkswagen Golf IV, Ford Focus, Opel Astra H and its cousin the Citroën C4. At launch, it stood out among competitors with its height, ease of access on board and improved forward visibility thanks to a large windshield, similar to minivans.

The car model is innovative in its own way, as it has a panoramic roof, a modular interior now typical of Peugeot station wagons with three independent and removable seats in the second row, as well as two additional seats in the rear, which allows the car to “transform” in this way into a 7-seater “minivan” ".

The Peugeot 307 was immediately striking with its body layout, which was no longer low and streamlined like the Peugeot 306, but rather increased in height to prioritize interior comfort and practicality over sportiness.

The front end, typical of Peugeot, was characterized by teardrop-shaped headlights with pointed ends towards the grille and front fenders. The grate was cut in half by a horizontal crossbar. The windshield was very large, especially considering the high body height and the fact that the windshield itself was angled somewhat to increase interior brightness. The side section is simple and harmonious, with a high waistline for a solid feel and raw plastic side pads. The fairly vertical tail was characterized by light, diamond-shaped clusters.

The interior was very spacious, and the car was designed specifically with internal comfort and habitability in mind. The design of the dashboard was modern for that time and very successful.

The instrument panel included a speedometer, tachometer, water temperature and fuel level. The trunk volume of 341 liters in the standard configuration could be increased to 1328 liters by folding down the rear seat backrest, which, among other things, could be divided and therefore allowed for modularization of the interior space.

In July 2005, a restyled version of the Peugeot 307 was released to increase sales.

Apart from the richness of its offerings in terms of silhouettes, the appeal of the Peugeot 307 model is based on its rich range of engines, consisting of 5 petrol engines with outputs ranging from 75 to 180 hp. and 4 HDi diesel engines with power from 70 to 136 hp

Just over six years after its introduction, the Peugeot 307 celebrated its three millionth production on May 14, 2007. This indicates the great popularity of this model.
