Information on repair and maintenance of Opel Movano cars electronically

The Opel Movano is a medium-sized van that was jointly developed by Opel and Renault in its first two generations. The first two generations of the cooperative model were produced alongside the identically built Renault Master and Nissan NV400. Following the integration of Opel into the Stellantis group, the technical base was transferred to Sevel South in 2021. In the UK, the Opel Movano is sold as the Vauxhall Movano.

In autumn 1998, the Opel Movano entered the market, a medium-sized van that the Rüsselsheim-based automaker developed in collaboration with Renault and Nissan. Thus, the Movano A was identical in design to the second generation Renault Master. In early 2002, another offshoot was added to Opel Movano - Nissan Interstar.

In October 2003 Opel Movano was subjected to an optical revision. It received a completely redesigned front end and a slightly modified rear end.

The range has been expanded with two new 2.5L 74kW (101PS) and 3.0L 100kW (136PS) Common Rail turbodiesel engines. The 84 kW 2.5 DTI engine remained in the range and was now sold as the CDTI. In addition to the five-speed manual transmission, an automated manual transmission called Tec-Shift was now available.

In autumn 2006, a 2.5-litre common rail turbodiesel was offered with two new power levels: 88 kW (120 hp) and 107 kW (146 hp). The 84kW model is no longer available, the 74kW 2.5 CDTI variant is still available. The 100 kW 3.0 CDTI was also replaced by the more powerful 107 kW 2.5 CDTI.

Again developed from scratch in collaboration with Renault and Renault-Nissan, the Opel Movano B has been produced as Opel (and Vauxhall) since February 2010. Renault's sister model is the third generation Renault Master. Nissan has now named its model Nissan NV400, similar to NV200.

The van is available in four different lengths combined with three heights, some available with front-wheel drive and some with rear-wheel drive. Front wheel drive is available in the L1H1, L1H2, L2H2, L2H3, L3H2 and L3H3 variants. Rear wheel drive is available in L3H2, L3H3, L4H2 and L4H3.

Opel Movano B is equipped with a 2.3 liter common rail turbodiesel with three power levels: 74 kW (100 hp), 92 kW (125 hp) and 110 kW (150 hp) (until March 13 : 107 kW (147 hp) ) are offered, all equipped with a manual six-speed transmission.

In May 2012, modified 2.3-liter diesel engines with a capacity of 74 and 92 kW went on sale. Thanks to changes in the oil and servo pumps, as well as in the engine management system, they are now nine percent more economical than before. The front-wheel drive van now consumes just 7.8 liters of diesel fuel (205 g CO2/km). Since then, Bluetooth technology and a USB port have come as standard, and the infotainment system has been redesigned.

In January 2021, Groupe PSA, which also owned Opel, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles merged to form the Stellantis Group. Since Fiat already had the Ducato/Jumper/Boxer transporter in its range along with Citroën and Peugeot, it made sense to market it as Movano in the future. In May 2021, Opel finally introduced the new Movano, which is also available for the first time with battery-electric drive as the Opel Movano-e.
