Repair and service Lifan cars in the eBook
Lifan Industry is a Chinese car, truck, commercial vehicle and motorcycle manufacturer headquartered in Chongqing. The company was founded in 1992 by Yin Mingshan.
The company was originally founded to manufacture motorcycles and initially had only nine employees. The first product was the small Lifan TMS 200 motorcycle. Several months after the founding of the company, other products followed, such as the off-road bikes and the TMS series motorcycles.
The success in the market has made Lifan one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the People's Republic of China, and today employs about 15,000 people. Lifan has also built manufacturing facilities in Vietnam and Thailand.
The company started production with the Lifan 520 car in 2002. In 2003, the production of trucks was launched.
The first truck model was the Lifan LF180, which resembles a heavily modified IVECO truck. The second model was the Lifan LF230, which is a modified version of the older Magirus Deutz truck.
The brand's trucks are also successful all over the world and are sold in many countries in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East. With the progressive globalization of the group in 2006, Lifan entered the American market. To gain a foothold there, the first step was to import motorcycles to North America. Target markets are the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
Finding more and more markets for its motorcycle related products, Lifan has exported vehicles to 51 countries. In 2010, its car exports were second only to Chery. The company has sold in many countries and on all continents.
The first Lifan model for Europe was the Lifan 520, a small sedan produced since 2005 (it was the first original development of the Lifan company).
In 2007, the range of vehicles was expanded. The Lifan 620 was introduced as a new mid-range model in the People's Republic of China. It is very similar to the Chinese version of the Toyota Corolla and stands one notch above the Lifan 520.Since 2012, the Lifan 630 has been offered as a revised version of the 620, parallel to it.
The second car presented for Europe was the Lifan 320. It looks like a Mini One, but at the front it resembles a Japanese Daihatsu Duet. In 2013, the Lifan 330 was introduced, which is an updated version of the 320 model, but is still offered in parallel.
Since 2011, the Lifan lineup has been supplemented by the Lifan X60 compact SUV. In 2015 and 2016, the car underwent refinement. The SUV is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 94 kW (128 hp). The same motor is used in the Lifan 630, Lifan 720 and Lifan 820.
Today Lifan manufactures vehicles such as:
- cars;
- minibuses;
- motorcycles;
- bicycles with engines;
- mini cars;
