The model is offered in two versions - LS (basic) and LT. Even in the basic version, the Chevrolet Epica includes all the necessary comfort and safety elements, such as air conditioning with an air filter for the cabin, front and rear power windows with automatic finger pinch protection, electric rear view mirrors, central locking with remote control and system safety, heated windshield and fog lights.
Depending on the trim level, the Chevrolet Epica can be equipped with various useful options, such as heated and lumbar-adjustable front seats, speed-adaptive power steering, rain sensors and a parking assist system, but only when driving in reverse. For cold conditions, the option of heating the windshield washer nozzles is especially useful.
Also standard on the Chevrolet Epica are five-spoke alloy wheels. For the LS version these are 16-inch wheels with 205/60R16 tires, and for the LT version - 17-inch wheels with 215/50R17 tires.
The interior design of the Chevrolet Epica is made using high-quality materials and chrome elements, as well as luxurious leather seats, which adds elegance and comfort to the car.
The base Chevrolet Epica LS includes air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a CD player with MP3 support, steering column controls for the stereo system, and a leather steering wheel cover. The LT version offers additional amenities such as climate control, rear parking sensors, heated and automated front seats, a trip computer and chrome door handles.
The car also has a spacious luggage compartment with a volume of 480 liters. To increase trunk volume, you can fold the back of the rear row of seats in a ratio of 60:40, which provides additional space for transporting large cargo.
The model has a highly smooth ride thanks to the use of only transversely located in-line 6-cylinder engines. Two types of 24-valve engines are available: 2.0 liters with 144 hp. and a volume of 2.5 liters with a power of 156 hp. The 2.5-liter engine is offered exclusively in combination with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift function. For a two-liter engine, you can choose either a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual transmission.
The two-liter engine is capable of accelerating the car to 207 km/h, and a speed of 100 km/h is reached in 9.9 seconds. At the same time, the average fuel consumption is 8.2 liters per 100 km. The 2.5-liter engine accelerates the car to 209 km/h, also reaching a speed of 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds. However, in combination with an automatic transmission, the two-liter engine shows less impressive performance: acceleration to 100 km/h takes 11.8 seconds, and average fuel consumption is 9 liters per 100 km.
This model is equipped as standard with an active safety system, including 4-channel ABS and brake force distribution (EBD). These systems improve vehicle control under difficult braking conditions, providing stability and preventing wheel locking.
The passive safety system in the car is also at a high level. It includes a rigid passenger compartment frame that protects the driver and passengers in the event of an accident. Driver and passenger front airbags provide frontal crash protection. Side and curtain airbags provide additional protection in side impacts, reducing the risk of serious injury. Downforce limiters and seat belt pretensioners help keep occupants in place, minimizing forward motion during a collision and reducing the risk of injury.
