Information on repair and maintenance of Peugeot Partner II cars electronically

The second generation Peugeot Partner (B9 body), officially presented in January 2008 and debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March of the same year, is a completely new model, significantly different from its predecessor. This is not just a restyling, but a completely redesigned vehicle.

One of the key changes was the rear suspension, replacing the torsion bar system used in the Partner Origin with a conventional spring-loaded beam similar to that found in typical passenger cars. This transition significantly improved comfort and ride quality, although the load capacity was slightly reduced. However, this is offset by increased cargo space compared to the Partner Origin.

The passenger version of the van is called Partner Tepee. It should be noted that this model also has an analogue in the Citroen line called Citroen Berlingo 2.

The total volume of the cargo compartment is an impressive 3.3 cubic meters, and the load capacity reaches 850 kg. In addition, the car has a Multi-Flex front seat, which, when folded, allows you to increase the load space to 3.7 cubic meters, and the loading length can be increased from 1.8 m to 3 m. The long version version has a length of 4628 mm and a total cargo volume of 4.7 cubic meters with the front seat folded and 4.3 cubic meters in normal condition.

The Peugeot Partner II is built on the universal platform 2 of the PSA concern, designed for small and middle class cars. This platform was also used in the Peugeot 308 and Citroen C4 Picasso passenger cars. Compared to the previous generation, the new Peugeot Partner has increased significantly in size. It became longer by 24 cm and wider by 13 cm, although the wheelbase increased by only 4 cm. This led to an increase in the car's weight by several kilograms.

The manufacturer tried to create the most comfortable interior for the driver and passengers, adding various niches for storing clothes, shelves and pockets in almost every part of the cabin. These storage spaces are located above the windshield, on the dashboard, in the doors and even under the front seats, with a total capacity of up to 64.5 liters.

Peugeot Partner II also features excellent sound insulation. The manufacturer used a variety of noise-absorbing materials in the engine compartment and interior, as well as special seals in the front doors. Thicker side windows (3.85mm) also help reduce road noise.

As for engines, the 1.4-liter version has disappeared from the range. Now the weakest engine for the Partner II truck version is a 75-horsepower 1.6-liter turbodiesel with a Common Rail system. For the cargo version, a 90-horsepower diesel and gasoline engine of the same power and volume are also available.

The passenger version of Tepee has a wider choice of engines, including a 110-horsepower 1.6-liter gasoline engine and a FAP diesel engine of the same power and volume. The "off-road" version of Tepee, called Outdoor and equipped with 215/55R16 tires, has an increased ground clearance of 10 mm and crankcase protection.

The Peugeot Partner II comes standard with anti-lock brakes, emergency brake assist, two front airbags, central locking, electric windows and an audio system.

The model was restyled in 2012, which gave it an updated appearance, improved driving performance and added comfort in the cabin. The car received a new radiator grille and emblem, front and rear lights, rear-view mirrors and wheel covers.

Regular use of Peugeot Partner II vehicles inevitably entails the need for maintenance and, sometimes, repairs. Many vehicle owners strive to understand the basic aspects of fault diagnosis and independently fix minor problems on their cars.
