The most famous auto manufacturer in Korea is the Hyundai Motor Company. Back in 1985, she released the Hyundai Sonata sedan.

In this model, the developers are constantly trying to improve the power characteristics of the car. In their attempts, they achieved that the fuel consumption decreased, and the engine began to run smoother. In 1996, this model was modernized.
In 1998, the fourth generation of the Sonata was presented at the Turin Motor Show. This model was distinguished by a spacious interior and luggage compartment, an adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel (height). In 2001, the developers improved the design, added new functions, new headlights, a bumper, and improved side lights. The car interior has noticeably improved, it has become more ergonomic and safe. The equipment of the new Sonata has significantly increased: a powerful battery, additional airbags, new shock absorbers.
The fifth generation Sonata was released in 2004 and introduced in Korea. The debut was a new engine, which was rated at 178 horsepower. The wheelbase has increased significantly, now it is 4.8 meters. The Sonata update happened in 2008 and was published in Chicago. The new car had an improved engine, new bumper, wheels and taillights.
The sixth generation of the car was launched in Seoul in 2009. A new chassis, A and C pillars have been added. The suspension was made easier by replacing the material with aluminum.
In March 2014, at the Seoul Auto Show, the company unveiled the seventh generation Hyundai Sonata. The suspension, shock absorbers, levers, steering column have been improved. The steering amplifier received a new processor, the program of which can be changed using a dedicated Drive Mode Select button. A reinforced bottom was also added. In 2016, the Sonata Hybrid was released and a rear-view camera was included as standard.
The eighth and last generation Hyundai Sonata was presented to the world in 2019. The dimensions of the new model have grown by 4.5 cm, width by 2.5 cm. The rigidity of the body, the braking system, as well as noise and vibration have also increased.
